WINNIPEG, Manitoba – June 20, 2024 – Farmers Edge Inc. (“Farmers Edge” or the “Company”), a pure-play digital agriculture company, is pleased to announce that the Federal Court of Canada has ruled in Farmers Edge’s favour in a patent infringement suit brought by AGI SureTrack, LLC (formerly Farmobile, LLC) (“AGI”). The court ruled that Farmers Edge has never infringed the patent asserted by AGI, named “Farming Data Collection and Exchange System”, and that all claims in the patent are and have always been invalid. Farmers Edge was represented by McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
This decision, along with the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska’s decision in April, 2024 to dismiss the patent infringement suit brought by AGI in the US, reflects Farmers Edge’s unwavering dedication to defending its innovation and the integrity of its process.
